Seeking Freelance Drupal Project

Seeking front-end developer who loves Drupal.
We're planning to design a Drupal website based on designs we would provide for you. The purpose of this project is to allow end-users to self-administer the site. While knowing Drupal is essential for this project, being able to customize the site with the assigned designs is just as important.

You must have a strong competency level in HTML, CSS, Javascript and or AJAX.

You must be able to create with JavaScript or AJAX:
- moving slides

Summer is leaving us, but there is just no way to let it happen without having one last fiesta. This time will be a bit peculiar; we will do a Drupal meetup and a BBQ at the same time. But don't freak out; sure there won't be any more BBQ this year but that leaves us with a whole new range of options, from jiaozi to hot pot party. Just come this Saturday, we'll see what are our options.

经过前几次drupal聚会上的演讲及交流，不知前来参加的drupal用户们是否有所收获。
这周六，我们打算趁着8月的尾巴，组织上海drupal用户的第6次聚会，地点依旧在raincity studios上海办公室，时间依旧是下午13：30。
这次聚会我们安排了一个主题为"AHAH,dynamic forms in Drupal-AHAH，drupal的动态形式"的演讲，演讲之后的时间还是留给各位做自由讨论。

I used to be keen on Chinese Classicals such as ShiJi and ShiJing.

I have encountered problems such as the correct pronounciation and interpretation, due to that all the Chinese traditional culture are literally wiped out by the communist Newspeaks.

One day I think maybe only internet can save,preserve ShiJi when I know wikipedia.

What I envisage is like this:

A 4 dimention ShiJi, based on google earth and wiki, actually a Fudan University professor Ge JianXiong had done something similiar, but only with maps.

I Started using drupal just recently, and trying to develop 2 projects of mine.
problem is, i dont know what to do when i need to customize staff, and it takes me too long each time to look into documentation and bbs.
so i would like to find somebody to coach me part time on same drupal's basics, if possible i am thinking of some sort of private lesson/training.

what i want to understand at first are simple things like:
. customize templates and themes.
. customize Views
. add custom Info Boxes
and generally understand the overall architecture structure.

Hey fellas,

Following the recent Drupal Camp Shanghai, we'd like to invite you to an informal Geek Out this week for those who didn't have time to socialize and exchange ideas back then, with the help of some beverages.

following last meetup on April 12, we had a happy Drupal Camp last Sunday May 18 with the SHDUG and learned a lot more from you. Over 60 attendees from Beijing, Hangzhou, Shanghai as well as from some APAC countries passionately got together and discussed 12 sessions regardless of the heavy rain, all levels of Drupal topics were covered. humble DCS volunteers kindly kept updated info at: http://drupalcampshanghai.org

We had a good Drupal Camp Shanghai! The heavy rain on Sunday didn't stop the most active local Drupalers to get together and enjoy this event: over 60 people attended over 12 sessions and discussions. In the rooms you could see knowledge virally spreading throughout the attendees as well as connections being made. DCS may be over but don't let the knowledge sharing stop here. This event was put on by people just like everyone actively checking here, thank you for contributing, and don't let events like this stop! YOU are keeping this going on!

Three months into planning, overcoming all kinds of odds and challenges (including the latest challenge of the Chinese firewall!) -- we are pressing ahead with ChinaOpen.

And on the eve of returning to China to iron out the logistic details, I would like to point you to http://www.china-osl.com and watch the Flash-video, which captures in essence, our message, spirit and goal of our ChinaOpen initiative.

In short, this summer, for 2-months, we will round up 50-200 Chinese students to work on Open-Source projects from worldwide. Currently in two tracks:

DrupalCamp is coming to Bangkok!

We will hold the first-ever DrupalCamp in Thailand on Saturday, May 24th, at the conference facilities of Inet, on the 13th floor of the Thai Summit Tower, Petchaburi Road, just east of the Ratchadaphisek / Asoke intersection.

We will also be running a full-day "Intro to Drupal" track that will cover everything from setting up a basic install to intermediate skills of customizing with modules, CCK and Views.

We have been pondering about how to best evangelize China into the Drupal community -- and in droves.

After operating in China for two years, and despite of our best trying such as holding the Drupal BootCamp event in Beijing http://www.drupalchina.org/node/3638, our biggest challenge is the practicality of getting Chinese acquainted with Drupal -- BEFORE we can even talk about having them participate into the DROP program, let alone directly contribute into module or theme writing.

We have a Drupal training in Hong Kong in May 13-15 2008, as part of our Open Application Fabrication effort (www.openappfab.net)

It's a living training, meaning that course fee includes one year hosting of Drupal portal that you create in the class.

The Shanghai Drupal User Group spearheaded by Raincity Studios met on March 15 which is a pretty Saturday.

Compared with last meet up, we focused more on drupal technical discussion. About 30 people attended this event and our professional drupal production developer Ronan Berder, Xiong xiong and Makara Wang brought their drupal experience and tips to those attendees.

I am pleased to announce that the next large gathering of Drupalers will be held in Sydney, Australia from May 18th - 22nd 2008 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Center Darling Harbor in conjunction with the Open CeBIT expo and conference.
