Brisbane hosting for the Lord Mayor's Community Trust

The Lord Mayor's Community Trust (LMCT) supports charities that care for and help those in need in the Brisbane community. The trust has very strong ties with the Lord Mayor's Office within Brisbane City Council.

The Trust's web presence has been supported by the team behind the popular and now defunct Drupal website, ourbrisbane.com. I built their current site in D6 for them a couple of years ago and piggybacked its hosting alongside ourbrisbane.com's own. The ourbrisbane team, however, like the website, no longer exists.

Now that we've had a month to recover from DDU2012 and the sinful delights of Melbourne (Guinness and Kilkenny in pints, food that's not served in a paper bag with a sachet of tomato sauce, etc.) it's time to get together and share what we've learned with those who missed it, and those who've already forgotten it (i.e. me).

DA Voting Closes in 1 hr

In case anyone has actually missed the notices about the Drupal Association voting, it closes in about 1hr.

Apologies for the shameless plug, but this is a real chance to get some Aussie presence on the board with both myself (Ryan Cross) and Donna Benjamin (KatteKrab) in the running.

Providing a voice for international Drupalers and the different perspectives on people not in north america are things that I and Donna are both passionate about.

We are booked in for a Tech meet on the 23rd.
Aiming for the fourth Thursday of the month for regular tech meets.

Looking for additional speakers, lightening style talks 1-10 mintes =)

Hi, I am working on a fantastic project at the moment that is getting bigger than I can handle by myself and we are looking for a full time Drupal developer to help.

The Front End web site is Drupal (of course), but the project also has heaps of interesting feeds from different hardwares, Private IP networks and all that good stuff. Mostly Drupal but bits of all sorts of interesting things to bite your teeth into.

The essence of the system is reading and displaying power usage from the power grid and solar panels.

Come play pool at a great new pool hall in Melbourne CBD with other PHP/Drupal guys. Has been a regular PHP thing for a while, but I thought there must be a few Drupalers who like pool and beer as well.
This year it will probably be 2nd Monday of each month.
