Driving Directions
BDUG takes place in room 290 of the Hearst Memorial Mining Building (HMMB) on the UC Berkeley campus.
Parking can be a challenge around campus. The closest area to look is around Hearst & Euclid. Also, HMMB is about a 15 minute walk from the downtown Berkeley BART station.
From Northbound Highway 101 (Daly City)
- Exit to San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge
- Exit to I-80 East (Berkeley/Sacramento)
- Exit University Avenue. Veer to your right, heading
East, towards the Berkeley Hills - Continue East on University Avenue for approximately
1.5 miles to Oxford Street - Turn Left onto Oxford Street
- Turn right onto Hearst Avenue
- Hearst Memorial Mining Building is located on the

From Westbound 24 (Contra Costa County)
- Take 24 through the Caldecott Tunnel
to Highway 13 Berkeley exit - Continue on 13 - Hwy 13 becomes Ashby Avenue
near the Claremont Hotel - Turn right at Shattuck Avenue
- Turn right at University Avenue and continue
east one block to Oxford Street - Turn Left onto Oxford Street
- Turn right onto Hearst Avenue

From Westbound Highway 13
- Highway 13 becomes Tunnel Road
- Continue on Tunnel Road. Tunnel Road
becomes Ashby Avenue near that Claremont Hotel - Turn right at Shattuck Avenue

east one block to Oxford Street - Turn Left onto Oxford Street
- Turn right onto Hearst Avenue

Shuttles
Travelers to the Bay Area may fly into either Oakland or San
Francisco. The Oakland International Airport is closer to Berkeley. A shuttle from Oakland Airport is about $20 and from $25 to $40 for a shuttle from San Francisco Airport (SFO). For airport shuttles from either airport, you should to call 24 hours in advance and again upon your arrival at the airport.
