Boise Drupal User Group postings
Front end developer | ProPeople
Anyone looking for Drupal work in the Boise area (or do you know somebody that is)? I'd love to talk to you.
We're looking for an experienced front end developer for immediate hire in the Boise area. This position will require immediate travel (maximum 8 weeks out of town), and future travel is possible (but not required). When you're in town, you'll be expected to work from our Boise office.
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS, and Javascript
- Experience with Drupal, particularly creating Drupal themes
- Must be a US citizen
A place to meet
I just learned that the reason we haven't met in a six months is lack of a meeting room.
Let's change that. I have a spot with wifi, projectors/tv, heating, cooling and indoor plumbing. And the price is right. Free. It's at Fish and Game downtown Boise.
So, if that fits our budget, is the second Thursday of the month the day to schedule? Do we want to work in some social time as well/instead? Perhaps a social meetup one month and a presentation conference room style meeting the next month?
Let's do this (again).
Development for an existing page | University of Idaho-Boise
Improvement and expansion of an existing library application for tracking the check out of tools. Must be in Boise, ID.
Plan for Boise Code Camp Drupal sessions
What is the plan for presenting any Drupal at Boise Code Camp? It's coming up in one month. Maybe this has already been discussed in person by some folks, but I haven't seen it on here yet.
If you have submitted a session, or plan to submit a session, I'd encourage you to post it here.
I'm planning to do a presentation on Drupal performance tuning, but have not submitted it officially yet.
Thanks,
Jeremy

It's pretty nice. Maybe if BDUG grows a little bit (perhaps as a result of Boise Code Camp), we could use that for our website.

Help promote the Drupal training at BSU, July 14th!
We're all squared away for a room at BSU for the July 14th Mentored Training. At this point, we just need some power cords (I'll get that squared away) and promotion!
We have 40 available seats for the training, and I'm pretty sure we can fill it up. Drupal has a great presence in Boise, and trainings like this will help bring people in and up the learning curve.
Who this training could be good for:
- Clients: This kind of training is great for clients to help them learn how to manage their Drupal sites, and to give them a feel for what's possible.
Hop in on the virtual Drupal Immersion training today for free
We had several no-shows for our virtual training today, so just in case anyone is interested in participating in the training today (it lasts until 5pm), just send me an email at http://buildamodule.com/contact and I'll send you the details.
Cheers!

alter title path in views (that contain fractions)
Okay, can anyone help with this one?
I created a view, am using the title as a field, outputting this field as a link.
Problem is the title names contain fractions (i.e., 1/2, 1/4, etc.) so, the link uses the slash in the url and thus can't find my title that contain fractions.
Using Drupal 7.
Thanks,
Katie
Need help with cron hook to update uc_stock
Can someone please write me a cron hook for Drupal 7 Ubercart 3 to update uc_stock?
I'm using feeds and uc_feeds to import product data. All I need is to update the existing product stock field.
I've included uc_feeds for D7 and the uc_feeds-6.x-1.x that uses the stock update. The stock update is not written in the D7 version. After many, many attempts, I just can't write it myself.
Thanks,
Katie

DrupalCamp Idaho Planning Meeting
Let's get together and do some DrupalCamp planning at Rembrandt's Coffee House in Eagle.
Calendar with footer, using data from another content type.
Making a calendar of events. In the footer section, adding in a view of another content type which uses the 'Inherit contextual filters'.
I can 'Preview with contextual filters' and everything works great.
In the real window, the view in the footer never changes. It's like the contextual information never gets passed to the footer.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, MTG

Hey folks,
I had a couple hours today and wanted to work on something kind of mindless, so I threw together a logo for DrupalCamp Idaho. No problem if the general consensus is that it's lame, or that another one someone puts together is better. I'm attaching a PNG and also an Illustrator version (embedded in a PSD so I can upload it) if anyone wants to make some mods.

Cheers!

DrupalCamp Idaho Update
We (Chris Shattuck and I) just had a really good conversation with Kris Klinkhammer from the Drupal Association. We're getting started with the Fiscal Sponsorship program and the credit card should be sent out to us shortly so we can start booking venues, getting the catering set up, etc.
We're still trying to nail down a date. The venue has Oct 19, 20, and 21 available for us, but those are the dates of PNW Drupal Summit this year (in Seattle).
The other dates that we threw around were:
August 3,4,5
August 10,11,12
Oct 5,6,7
Oct 12,13,14
Oct 26,27,28
Dec 7,8,9
Dec 10,11,12
Rocky Mountain DrupalCamp
I was thinking about putting together an event for Drupal users that live in the Rocky Mountains.
I've looked at a couple of different venues: Boise Center on the Grove and the Boise State SUB.

I've built several drupal sites and started one for my husbands business, but I haven't integrated a store with Drupal yet. Based on my research, Ubercart seemed most recommended. I just don't have time to figure it out as they wanted the site up last month. Site design/theme and basic pages are done. Ubercart installed. Payment processor chosen. Looking at using webgility to integrate quick books.
I need to pass this on to someone with experience in ecommerce, preferably ubercart and quickbooks integration that I can trust to give a quality finished product.

Folks,
Do we have a place to hold a meeting in August? If not, I'd like to offer up the conference room of my company, Project Zen Online. We've got room enough for 8-10 people comfortably, and if we outgrow that, we can move out to the production floor which is a whole lot bigger. We've got 7MB wifi and a projector and whiteboards galore.
I've been missing the Drupal meetings lately, and I'd like to see them fired back up.

Help with Views

I'm looking for someone (a good trainer) to hold my hand and show me the right way to implement Views.

Thanks so much,
Katie
