Drupal and PHP Developer | Dubit Limited
We're looking for a Drupal and PHP Developer to work on a project for us (http://www.dubitlimited.com) and a top US media company. The job will last for 2-3 months or longer.
If you're interested, qualified and within commuting distance of Leeds (we may me amenable to you working partly offsite, but we will need you at the office at certain points of the project) then please get in touch.

Bristol Knowledge Unconference
Bristol Knowledge Unconference (BKU) 2009, will this year be held as an event at the Arnolfini in Bristol, UK on the 12th and 13th December 2009.
BKU is an unconference (an informal conference) all about Knowledge in it's different forms and perspectives.
BKU 2009 will have the subtitle "The Art of Knowledge", as working with knowledge is both an art and a science.
City selection for DrupalCon 2010 still wide open
Please note that the list of cities from http://groups.drupal.org/node/26241 (as per the BoF in Paris) is just a list of possible suggestions. Please see the draft document that has been proposed for city selection guidelines: http://groups.drupal.org/node/27246
The goal is to publish that document at the end of this week (after incorporating feedback from the community) and to start receiving city proposals immediately after that. Since we need to have recommendations to give to the Drupal Association by October 15 the proposal phase will have to be short. The proposal phase will probably end October 1. After that we will have the proposals reviewed by the events agency to gather their feedback in time for the October 15 deadline.

UK Midlands Drupal Mini-Conference - 29th September 2009 - Coventry
I'm working with Illuminate ICT to organise a one-day UK Midlands Drupal Event / Mini-Conference
It will be held on 29th of September, somewhere in the Coventry area (venue hasn't been agreed yet but we're aiming at being close to a junction of the M6).
We'll be sharing ideas on best practice, building better websites, Drupal social websites, staying on the right side of the DDA, monetising Drupal websites and more.

We are a leading B2B publisher urgently looking for an experienced developer to help an existing technical team migrate mature sites to Drupal. The project will involve both architecting a completely new system and ensuring successful migration of existing material from our legacy systems. A working knowledge of Microsoft .NET technologies will greatly help but is not essential.
