Appcelerator + Drupal 7 + Services Conference Android and iOS App Example

The Digital Non Conference here in cincinnati last week had a conference App the was developed using Drupal 7 + Services as the backend to manage the content. I've open sourced the code and is available up on github for those interested.

The app is built using Appcelerator (w/ Alloy) which compiles to both iOS and Android native using the single codebase below

Registration is open for DrupalCamp Ohio 2012

Drupal Camp Ohio 2012 is back this year for a two-day event from Friday, November 30th to Saturday, December 1st hosted by the Ohio State University at the 4-H Center. If you haven't already heard, registration is open and we're still accepting session submissions and sponsorships.

Drupal Ladder sprints?

Hey there!

I've probably met a few of you, but for the rest, I'm Brock Boland. I live over in DC, and I'm involved in the Drupal Ladder initiative: http://drupalladder.org

The gist of it is that we're working to get more people involved in contributing to core, with a goal of 1% of drupal.org users contributing to Drupal core by summer 2014.

There are two main ways that we're working to achieve that goal:

Learn sprints, where we work through lessons on DrupalLadder.org
Issue sprints, where we work on issues from the Drupal core issue queue

What's wrong with my D7 Homepage- Strange stylings

For some reasons I can't figure out why my D7 homepage style format mess up. Every other pages style formats appear they way they suppose to be except the homepage. Can you someone please help me solve this nightmare issue I'm having with my site.

WSIWYG EDITOR - Installation for Nicedit

I am two days into Drupal, and am trying to install a wsiwyg editor.

TinyMCE stays it is no longer the editor. Another one I like used to be free but changed its name and now costs $380 for the license.

I couldn't find any others that were not beyond my ability to install, except Nicedit. I like all its features, and it shows up as installed and as my editor, and I enabled buttons, etc. But when I open up a PAGE or some other way to add content, no editor shows up. Is there a step I am missing?

Any help is very much appreciated - even if it is to suggest another editor.

Print to PDF with domPDF is not printing images

We have a Drupal 7 site where certain documents need to be generated as PDF.
we are using dompdf library and print to PDF (http://drupal.org/project/print) module.

Everything seems to be working ok with the latest version of dompdf except that images do not print for non-administrator users. For the same document, when generating as a non-admin, we get the following error in PDF file "Image not found file:///home/cincias2/public_html/aurums/sites/default/files/PMET%20NewLogo.jpg"

Site offline - Need HELP! DOException: SQLSTATE[42S02].......

I need help with this error I'm getting that resulted to my site being offline. I can only access Admin section but when I try to view it (even in maintenance mode) I get the following error.

We are currently offline for maintenance
The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later.

I looked at the recent log entries and I see the followings:

Notice: Undefined variable: body_classes in include() (line 25 of /home4/dubura/public_html/sites/all/themes/cms_base/templates/maintenance-page.tpl.php).

Integrate Dayton Drupal Users Group

I tried creating a g.d.o group for Dayton, but was denied because we are too close to Cinci and Columbus. Rather than whine about it, I thought I'd see if we could officially integrated the Dayton Drupal Users Group here so our members can have a group to use for conversation, etc. I noticed the group description already includes Dayton anyway, so why not make it more official.
