Tech Meeting For the United States Social Forum in Detroit 2010
The next United States Social Forum, http://ussf2010.org/, is going to be held in Detroit in June of 2010. Much of the technology for promoting and organizing the Forum is and will be powered by Drupal.
This Thursday evening a meeting will happen at This meeting happen at the Cass Cafe located at 4620 Cass Ave between W. Forest Ave and Prentis Street in Detroit.

It's nearing the end of July already!
It is rapidly approaching the last Monday in July--scary, huh? You know what this means!
On Monday the 27th, at 7pm, we will be having our monthly Drupal meetup at Spark Central in Ann Arbor. While no hard topic is set yet, feel free to come with your ideas or post them as a comment to this thread. For starter ideas, feel free to check out the list of possible topics (http://groups.drupal.org/node/19315) and pick an interesting one.

Metro Detroit Drupal Group Meet-up
We will be having an informal meet-up at Starbucks. In the future I will be setting up a more formal location.

There will be Internet Access via AT&T Wi-Fi. We will be taking a designers approach to our discussions but look forward to developers sharing their ideas.
East side and West Side Meetups
Thanks for putting the east side (Oakland U) meetup together. In the past we've met over on the east side as well (Rochester), but for many of us West-siders it was WAY to far to drive (Ann Arbor group is closer to me than even Troy). So, just FYI, I think we'll be trying to have some meetings over on the West side as well to accommodate those of us over here.

Regular Drupal Group Meeting in Troy on the 2nd Tuesday evening every month?
Since polling everybody's opinion recently, there appears to be at least 10-12 persons who are interested to meet in the Metro Detroit area. Since the Ann Arbor Drupal Group meets on the last Monday of each month, a meeting on Tuesdays during the second week of the month sounds like a terrific complement if there are folks who wish to attend both.
Please RSVP for the first gathering in the Troy area or vicinity on Tuesday July 14, 2009. If 1-2 members are willing to assist, that would be greatly appreciated.
