With several weekly and monthly events, the Greater Los Angeles Area is one the most active areas for Drupal in the world. We are now planning Drupal Everywhere, a one-day special event focusing on Drupal and the mobile and tablet experience.
Formerly named Downtown Los Angeles Drupal, we've been meeting regularly in and around Downtown Los Angeles, California, since early 2010, and now organize a large number of events in the Greater Los Angeles Area, including Downtown Los Angeles, Koreatown, Culver City, Santa Monica, Pasadena, the San Fernando Valley, Riverside and Ventura.
Our members and organizers have produced hundreds of Drupal events, including job fairs, meetups and workshops, conferences, paid trainings, coworking days, study group sessions, movie outings, FREE tutoring sessions from Drupal professionals, and website barnraisings to benefit non-profits and members of our community.

What's different about this group? (?)
Unlike the "LA Drupal" group, whose meetups are exclusively in beach cities in Los Angeles County such as Long Beach and Playa Del Rey (and prior to that, Santa Monica), our large team of organizers has a strong history of producing weekly and monthly events for the Drupal community all across the Greater Los Angeles Area.
Our leadership team endeavors to actively empower and support volunteers and attendees in the Greater Los Angeles Area, and to provide resources (venues, guidance, equipment, raffle prizes, etc.) and a governance model with consistency, transparency and accountability.
We proudly participate in the California Drupal Travelers Program, which aims to connect businesses and community members who are visiting the area with our local community and events. Drupal Commerce Meetup at Droplabs in Downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday, May 28, 2013
We're excited to announce the next Drupal Commerce Meetup, on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, between 6-8pm. This is a new meetup and we meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month at a variety of venues.
We're meeting this time at Droplabs, a collaborative classroom, coworking space and makerspace near Downtown Los Angeles. Those interested in attending this meetup remotely are welcome to join us via WebEx.
At this Drupal Commerce meetup, we'll be featuring the Commerce Module Tuesday videos and the various modules covered by the series. We'll also discuss recent news and events, including the release of Commerce Kickstart 7.x-2.7 and Commerce-related presentations at DrupalCon Portland 2013.

Why do you go to Drupal Camps?
I go to Drupal camps because I know that if I learn one new thing or meet one cool person who's willing to share their experiences with me, then it was a successful use of my time. Whatever I learn doesn't even have to be Drupal related, the point is I'm a wiser person for having immersed myself into the community. I organize Drupal camps because I want others to have that same opportunity, and it's rewarding for me to see people get together and share their brilliant ideas and work.

We're excited to announce Exaltation of Larks' next mentored Drupal training. This brief training is from 12-3pm and uses the extensive Drupal video library at Build a Module.com. Bring your laptop, your lunch and learn Drupal!
We'll be focusing this time on Site Building and Advanced Site Building. Bring a WiFi-enabled computer that you can use to connect to the internet and watch videos on (and a set of headphones). Those without headphones can buy an inexpensive pair of headphones from the venue.
