Freelancers (telecommuters)

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.
This group should probably have more organizers. See documentation on this recommendation.

This group is for individuals who work with Drupal independently on a project basis. If you are a full-time freelancer, hobbyist or looking for extra work as a Drupal developer then join.

Availability:
Post your availability. Give clients a chance to come to you by posting your location and willingness to travel or telecommute.

Projects:
Show off your Drupal accomplishments and make potential employers aware of your capabilities.

Share:
Give and get tips on how to handle telecommuting, financial services ( pay pal, banks ), bookkeeping, marketing, laws, partnerships and travel.

Recruiters: This group is not for non-telecommuting job postings. Any posting older than 60 days will be automatically removed.

Developers: Do not post rates, bids or money (do it off-site).

Proposing a code sprint in Goa in month of march 15.
Lets spend a weekend coding for D8 while the sun is ablaze in the day and move to the beach as soon as sun starts setting down. The season is ending and there is lot of beer left in the stocks :)

I am available immediately as a Drupal Developer (front and back end). I am located in Berlin at the moment. Contact me with your email address and I will send a CV with completed work examples and references.

Be prepared with a Non-disclosure agreement and let me know at least one day ahead ( I live in Falkensee )

Administration of this Group

I'm back.

I admit I had forgotten about this group and but it does not seem to have suffered from the neglect. What I will be doing is cleaning house a bit. I see that there are some job postings that do not allow telecommuting. To reinforce this I will be removing or unpublishing any job posting from 2012 or where telecommuting is not set to "yes". I am going to be a hard-ass about this because there are so many other groups where non-telecommuting jobs can be posted and very few that support the telecommuting community of developers.

Freelancers group

I have created a group specifically for Freelancers to introduce themselves and post their availability. This is the other side of the coin for the Drupal jobs board. My feeling is that there is not enough promotion of freelancing and telecommuting in the Drupal community. At least not as it once was (circa D5 -D6 ) before when you could find knowledgeable individuals willing to take on short term contracts.

Also there are coders out there looking for work but they tend to get lost in the noise of other groups or are not allowed to post to some groups when hunting for work.
