Content published based on paid membership - Help

http://drupal.org/node/606006

I have a developer that has a post on the Drupal.org site. He is needing help with publishing content vs. non-published content based on paid membership. Please - if anyone can help lead him in the right direction, I would be greatly appreciative.

Thanks,
Tami

I would like to discuss hiring someone to finish my website. Considering this is my first time considering hiring someone, I am sure I will probably not give you all the information you need the first go around (so be kind). If you are interested or want to know more, send me an email please.
This is the information I am sure you will need. (If more is needed – ASK me.)
1- I already have the site set up on APTHosting.com.

Looking for Consultant / Contractor

I've recently started using Drupal and would like to find someone in Alabama to do contract work on web sites I help manage. I've enjoyed working with people in Australia and the UK and a few in the US but it would be nice to find someone or a group I could actually meet to discuss ideas and help me through some problems.

The site that brought me to Drupal is www.nena.org our professional association. We still have some features left to install there and I have some smaller association and a church site I want to convert to Drupal that have other needs.

Question about creating a Member List

Hi,

I am relatively new to using Drupal (approx. 6-7 months). I am creating a Drupal site and within the site, I want to create a very basic Member List. The Member List that I would like to create would have all registered users with the formatting appearing as:

Last name, First Name
Last Name, First Name
Last Name, First Name
...and so on

My space_event database

I saw an old post by Eric where he was suggesting that we post about projects we're working on in order to try to get the community rolling. Here goes...

I'm working on a site that correlates space_event data with observation data. Is there an easier, more Drupal, way to accomplish my mission than this?

Say there's a big astronomy event -- a solar eclipse, a nova, a comet fly-by. I have a CCK content type that describes that event (space_event):
-date/time
-description
-event-type (solar, planetary, etc)
-collection of observation_ref (node references to the observations)

Is this thing on? [tap, tap]

I did some informal checking at DrupalConDC and ran into one person from Nashville, but nobody else from northern AL. Anyone still here?

Are you headed to Drupalcon DC?

If you are headed to Drupalcon DC, post your contact info here! I would like to connect with as many Nashville/Tennessee/Kentucky/Alabama people as possible while in DC! Maybe we can all get together and have lunch or dinner together?

Feel free to give me a ring! 615-440-1915

Nashville Drupal Group will Officially Kickoff at PodCamp Nashville 2009

After many months of planning, the Nashville Drupal Group will officially be kicking off the first week in March during PodCamp Nashville 2009. PodCamp is Nashville’s “un”conference event for podcasters and listeners, bloggers and readers, and anyone interested in new media. Learn more at http://podcampnashville.com.

When: Saturday, March 7, 2009, from 9am to 4pm, with social activities afterward.

Where: Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management - 401 21st Avenue South, Nashville, Tenn.

A session titled "Drupal - Some Assembly Required" will be presented, which will highlight what Drupal is and what it can be used for. More importantly, this presentation will kick off the first session in a 6 week course series highlighting what Drupal can do and if Drupal is right for your project.

This 6 week series will also have some great advanced information for the more experienced Drupalers in town. Each session after PodCamp will be broken into two segments: Basic and Advanced. They will be presented back to back over a 2 hour period once a week. I am considering running this initial course twice a week for the first 6 weeks to make sure that everyone can attend.

Please let me know your thoughts and please feel free to post your ideas regarding topics and discussion points. If you are interested in helping with organizing the Nashville Drupal Group, please drop me a line and let me know! There are some great opportunities in the works for those willing pitch in!

Huntsville PHP/MySQL/LAMP Meetup Jul 27th

Hello. We've got 15 subscribers to our Huntsville Drupal group, but we are still kind of dead. Let's figure out a way to build a community of Huntville (or North Alabama/Tennessee Valley) Drupal users.

First off, I'd like to invite everyone to the PHP/MySQL/LAMP users group of Huntsville meeting in two weeks. The meeting will take place at 7PM in Huntsville on July 27. While these meetings are usually held somewhere like "Barnhills Grill", the current meeting doesn't have an announced meeting place. However, http://codango.com is sponsoring the meeting and will provide drinks and pizza. Stay tuned to that group for a finalized meeting place.

Go here for more information about the the Huntsville PHP/MySQL/LAMP meetup: http://php.meetup.com/348/

Secondly, be sure to subscribe to the RSS feed for this Huntsville Drupal group: http://groups.drupal.org/node/1183/feed

Finally, feel free to post to this group about the Drupal projects you are working. I'm always interested in seeing what others are making. I've got a couple of projects that I will be sharing here in a short while.

By the way, I've had the pleasure to meet Tony Gettig, Mike Stinson, and Philip Reed (current Huntsville Drupal users). If we can't get together for a group meeting, maybe we can meet in smaller groups for lunch or coffee.

Anyone else have any ideas on building our Huntsville group?

Drupal training in Nashville?

Does anyone know of any companies, individuals or groups offering Drupal training of any kind in the Nashville area? Tennessee? Kentucky? Southeastern US? I would like to present various training options for my employer. I am aware of the workshops that Lullabot puts on, but I would like to see if there are any options within driving distance of my day job in Nashville.

I am most interested in theming, design tweaking, and understanding the inner workings of the Drupal framework as a whole. In the future, I would like to be able to assist with module development.

Welcome to Huntsville on Drupal Groups

Hello! Welcome to Huntsville on Drupal Groups. If you are from the North Alabama area and use Drupal, step up and introduce yourself. We are hoping to have a local Drupal meetup in the future. This won't happen unless you chime in.

I'm Eric. I've been using Drupal for a few years, but I am finally starting to understand how flexible and powerful it can be.

I have used Drupal for projects related to the Huntsville-area.
