Dear Drupalistas,

After a fun New Years meetup we want the keep the momentum going. OneShoe will start with DrupalCafés! The idea is a small presentation about an approachable subject which is useful for even the least expereinced users. After the presentation there is time to have a drink and a little snack. Experienced Drupalistas are invited to give their opinion on the subject. If you want to give a presentation yourself, contact one of the organizers. The subject for this issue is SEO and Drupal; what you can and should do to get the best possible score in Google, Bing or other search engines.

Drupal as a content mangement system has become immensely populair on a global scale. The White House, Ikea and Amnest International, to name a few, use Drupal. On february 19th, the Dutch Drupal Foundation for the second time organises the largest free Drupal Training. The free training is aimed at students, teachers and potential web developers seeking to broaden their skills. Experienced Drupal professionals from the Dutch market have volunteered to guide a broad audience in their first encounter with Drupal.

Op 19 november wordt Drupal 8 gelanceerd. Wereldwijd wordt dit uitgebreid gevierd en ook in Nederland pakken we het groots aan. Stichting Drupal Nederland organiseert samen met vele Drupal leveranciers een groot feest.

Je bent vanaf half 7 welkom in Club Panama in Amsterdam (waar ook de Trivia Night werd georganiseerd tijdens DrupalCon). Wij regelen een DJ, snacks en onbeperkt drank. De toegang bedraagt €10 pp (graag cash betalen bij de ingang). Sponsors krijgen vrijkaartjes, dus als je werkgever sponsort kan je waarschijnlijk gratis naar binnen.

Thursday, November 19 will mark the release of Drupal 8. This new version integrates with other modern PHP packages, ships with HTML 5 and CSS 3 support, is mobile-friendly by default, and boasts many new and improved APIs. We'll celebrate this with a party in the Panama in Amsterdam at 18:30!

During the first few days of Drupal Dev Days Montpellier 2015 workshops will be offered to introduce Drupalistas to Drupal core contribution. In three workshops, repeated on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, experienced contributors will help with setting up development tools, such as Git, web stacks, IRC clients and Dreditor, and with finding and working on issues on drupal.org.
These workshops can be attended free of charge, without reservation.

Op donderdag 26 maart organiseren Hoppinger en Triquanta alweer de 14e Drupal Tech Talk. Deze keer zijn we te gast op het kantoor van Wunderkraut in Utrecht. Zij verzorgen tijdens de avond ook het eten en drinken.

The Drupal User Group Netherlands is a monthly meetup or so called "Drupalcafe" in Utrecht the Netherlands. The cafe is aiming at sharing knowledge and tricks of the trade of Drupal, share a techtalk or do a codesprint whilst enjoying a drink! This month's theme: Migrations!

For Drupalcafé november we intend to address the subject of migrations. We expect to feature 2 presentations; one about migrations of Drupal versions and content migration and the various pitfalls that you may run into, the other about migrating automated tests.
