• 4+ years of production-quality web development experience working with large-scale websites developing Object oriented, reusable code. Helping define and constantly improve best practices and standards.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS, Database management and Administration.
• Experience with software engineering methodology including configuration management, source control systems, release processes, testing, deployment, project management, maintenance and support.
• Knowledge/understanding Unix (Debian, Xserve, FreeBSD)
• Deep understanding of OO technology and implementation techniques (Design Patterns, Application frameworks)
• Strong skills in Web 2.0, JavaScript, DHTML, AJAX, CSS, Flash ActionScript 2.0. Must possess a thorough command of web standards, cross-browser compatibility and optimization techniques.
• Thorough understanding of web related graphics production tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, PDF)
• Strong skills in PHP5, PERL, PLSQL, T-SQL, XML, XLST.
• Knowledge of JAVA, ASP.NET, and Web Services
• Proven experience in open source components and frameworks
• Understanding of systems development lifecycle process
