This is a work in progress, please feel free to add to it. More Wiki Pages to come when I have time, and hopefully some will find it useful or change where the wiki needs changing
Hello!
I applaud the idea of help with OpenScholar installation - but I don't find it here in this work-in-progress that has made no progress!
Sorry - but lots more information is wanted here. Doesn't the install script do this itself? If not, why not?
As a moderately technically adept "scholar", I would like to try building OpenScholar to try it out for myself and then maybe recommend it to
my institution. Firstly I would expect to be able to do this in localhost, and then I would like to install OpenScholar in a hosted environment.
My host provides access to SimpleScript - but there is as yet no simple script for OpenScholar (why not?).
I can easily enough install Drupal and have done so - but of course I've installed Drupal 7, not 6.20. I use EasySQL which provides
phpmyadmin - but I do not know how to run install scripts in that environment.
Thanks to anyone who can help me on the way. I apologise for editing the page in this way, but I see no facility to make comments against
an existing entry in this forum.
