This is a full time contractor position working on international projects for a Major studio. You work from home with very flexible hours. Some international travel may be required. We are looking to fill this position within the next two weeks or sooner.
Job details include: Develop and maintain the company's portal. Perform backups and ensure user accessibility to the site. Monitor site traffic and help scale site capacity to meet traffic demands performance. Improve the company's efficiency and design the look and feel for the site.
Consults with clients and other project team members to design, build and manage web sites. Develops installation programs for websites. May negotiate contracts/agreements with software vendors and other internet companies. Has knowledge of a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field (i.e., Drupal, PHP, SQL, XML, HTML, CSS, Actionscript, and JavaScript). Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. You must be an expert in all forms of code as you will be coding on many different projects.
Manages all aspects of Web systems (intranet and extranet) including design, release, and maintenance. Works with customers and technology vendors to maximize opportunities in company's Web-based presence. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Has 8-10 years of experience in the cross platform entertainment field. Vast knowledge of the entertainment industry with focus on regional or cable TV. Development on international properties in multiple languages a plus. Have a passion for Open Source and Web 3.0!
Currently, we are building out 37 sites in 11 languages using the Drupal platform.
We would like someone that lives in the LA Area so they can attend meetings with the clients from time to time. If you have ever thought about building your own company this is probably the best opportunity that will come your way!!!
Base Salary $100,000.00 USD with the opportunity to earn more based on project load.
