Drupal competition
Welcome to the drupal competition organised by http://animelicious.co.za and http://drupal.animelicious.co.za
Max. 30 people/teams will be given webspace on this server to design a website.
It does not matter if you set it up as a personal site or fictive business site. Judged will be general design, userfriendlyness and complexity of content.
Info and additional modules available on http://drupal.org
You can view an example of a private drupal site (my own attempts) here

or (current, to be replaced, anime database) here
http://animelicious.co.za/anidb
Conditions:
- Drupal 5 has to be used with a custom theme (you can adapt an available theme but making your own will enhance your chances) and making use of cck, imagecache and views.
Our sponsor said this: Any modules, bonus for some self written ones. Big bonus for well written code or theming according to Drupal standards.
- You have to blog what you did to get to this site, how you got info about the competition etc. and of course how you are treated by the admins during the competition using the story content type or a custom CCK content type.
- During the development, presence in #drupal on irc.shadowfire.org would be an advantage as we are able to assist with any problems immediately
- Contestants will have to register on the animelicious forum http://animelicious.co.za/forum as we will create a special forum which will only be accessible by registered users and will be used to discuss anything regarding the competition, assistance, publishing of account details etc.
ATTENTION:
- Multiple entries (groups) are permitted.
- Contestants may also take part in multiple entries with people in different groups.
This will allow for better information flow and learning
If you enter, please let us know if you would like to pair with someone else. More skilled people could maybe offer to team up with a "youngling" who could do the more time consuming legwork (blogging, content) in return for the expertise of the more experienced teampartner.
If you enter as a team please state who the authoritative account holder (teamleader) is when submitting your details.
Should a team win it is up to the team members how they will make use of the prize.
Rules:
- If you want to make a business website, it has to be a fictive one
- No adult (porn etc.) content or links to such.
- Absolutely no warez, piracy or links to such
Prize for the best website: a locally (South Africa) hosted account for the winner of the competition!
sponsored by http://burtronix.co.za - thanks burtronix :)
