Wow... members have increased. Hello to all. I was wondering how many in this group are freelance developers? How many work for a WebDev Company? How many are located in the Philippines?

I'm actually a freelance web developer from Vancouver BC, Canada. My cousin in Manila is getting married soon and I was thinking of attending the wedding. I'm following this group on the off chance there's a Drupal event in Manila coinciding with my trip.

hello mgoltra. cebu based here. freelance dev. its been a while i havent touched drupz as i had my hands on the other cms(J!) more than drupal.
kung meron kayong salo salo(event) sa cebu pm nyo naman ako ehehhehe. kung okay lang makisalo taga "J!". after all its open source that matters on open source communities :)

I think it is ok lang to say the J word. You mean Joomla right? I started with that but ended up with Drupal.

I got too conscious writing in Spanish that I forgot to check your name. :p My bad...
I hope you find yourself comfortable here in the PH group and with Drupal as well. I think you did not make any bad choices. And don't worry, I'm a Drupal newbie too (at least a year ago).
If you want to fast-track your Drupal experience, I would recommend participating at Drupal IRC channels, and subscribing to gdo (groups.drupal.org) groups of your interest. Oh and there's even a Spanish Drupal irc channel. I'm sure you'll meet people with colorful backgrounds (not just colorful skin) and different point-of-views in terms of web development, open source, and of course, Drupal.

Now I need to schedule more time to watch "Dora the explorer" and learn a couple more Spanish words.
