Software Developer - LMS & Quiz

DLC Solutions is seeking a Software Developer to join our development team working on EthosCE, a learning management system for continuing professional education. We are experiencing solid demand for our products and are adding a fourth software developer to our team of 11 to assist with product development and support.

We are going to be working on fully integrating Quiz module into our product over the next year. This position will including working on features such as integrating Quiz with Drupal's Form API, adding other client-funded features to Quiz, creating and integrating a modular and flexible course framework with Quiz, Certificate, SCORM, Signup, Ubercart and other custom course objects, either as modules, 3rd-party integrations or Drupal Features. Outside of that, we work daily with Features, Organic Groups, Spaces, Context, Panels, Ubercart and Signup.

We are developer-focused and welcome innovation and process improvements in our group and regularly think about how to make the development process work better. Our process is a modified version of Scrum that we continue to adjust based on staff input. We use a continuous integration server (Hudson) to provide constant and immediate builds and feedback, and we are in the process of adding automated funcational (Selenium) and unit tests (Simpletest) to provide additional stability for our releases.

A strong applicant would have experience working in a collaborative web development group and be willing to participate in the challenge of maturing a product at a small growing company.

Applicants should have at least 2-4 years of professional experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • assisting with design and development of EthosCE
  • support for existing client implementations
  • functional and unit testing

Ideal requirements

  • 2 years of Drupal development
  • experience working in a small team in an agile environment
  • experience with automated testing processes and applications
  • experience with other open source projects
  • experience with product development, configuration and releases

We will consider promising developers with less than 2 years Drupal experience if you can show demonstrable history of success in other projects.
