LAMP SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

Achieve Internet is looking for motivated, expert developers with real world LAMP experience who want to be challenged, respected and part of a great team. We're offering experience, interesting projects and a great working environment.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience working as a developer and administrator in the LAMP environment, with a specialization in MySQL tuning and administration. Working on large scale, multi-server PHP/MySQL Web applications should be your bread and butter.
Many of our larger sites use the Drupal framework, so knowledge of Drupal is a big plus. Additional programming experience (Perl, ASP.net, Java, C++) is helpful, as is experience with Apache tuning, opcode caching and additional caching techniques.
The position is full-time with healthcare benefits, vacation time and a retirement plan. All of our developers have high-end Mac workstations with dual monitor setup.
Responsibitilites
· Ensure database availability in LAMP environment.
· Perform database optimization including architecture, index enhancements, query cache tuning, table optimization, table type based on usage, (de) normalization techniques, etc.
· Perform data analysis and identify root cause of data inconsistencies
· Respond to data errors and drive to resolution.
· Review PHP code for query optimization
Requirements
· Bachelor's in Computer science or related field
· 3+ years as a Database Administrator
· 5+ years in a LAMP environment
· 5+ years hands on experience with MySQL
· MySQL experience in the following:
· Replication
· Load balancing
· Query optimization
· Schema design
· Disaster recovery
· Database backup / restore
Wish List
· System administration including opcode caching, memcached, load balancing, etc.
· Experience administering installed software packages, such as Perl, PHP, Python, Apache, etc.
· Drupal experience
