Southern California Linux Expo, or SCALE, is the premier Open Source conference in the U.S., now in its 9th year! If you're looking to learn, you can choose talks from the developer's track, the new sysadmin track, the beginner track, or one of the two general interest tracks.

If you're interested in chatting with the exhibitors, you'll be able to to wander the Expo floor, with over 80 booths of open source folks eager to talk to you.

For 2011, SCALE will be held at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport. Stay tuned for more conference info!

Does Volunteering mean Automatic Registration?

I've volunteered on 2 shifts on Saturday (set up and clean up) does that mean I'm automatically registered, or do I have to go to the SCALE website and register?

We need more LA Drupal (or nearby folk) to come help spend 3 hours to talk about Drupal at an expo in Los Angeles at the end of this month. Info is here: http://groups.drupal.org/node/120859

You can help out in the morning or afternoon on either the Saturday or Sunday of the event. The expo takes place near LAX airport and volunteers will get a pass to the event. Each year we have a good time meeting Drupal converts both new and old. Even if you're new to Drupal you can still help out because many people are new so sharing your insight is important. Come join your fellow LA DRUPAL members for a few hours and geek out about Drupal!
