The Communications Unit of The United Church of Canada is seeking a Web Developer for a full-time 6 month contract position, with possibility of renewal.
The Web development work will consist of: Installing, testing, customizing, and debugging issues with CMS (primarily Drupal) core installs and modules/add-ons; working closely with designers and producers to customize page templates and themes; Develop and ensure effective CMS workflow; Liaise with other internal developers and IT staff to provide input on web application development and maintenance for several sites/applications including united-church.ca, WonderCafe.ca, UCRD-store, Find a Church, online data collection tools, and Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
The Web Developer will also perform System Administration tasks such as applying security and software updates as necessary to ensure remote servers are secure, reliable, and up-to-date and ensuring proper redundancy and backups are in place for disaster recovery.
