Libros Media Ltd is a New Zealand registered company and we are looking for a full-time contractor to further develop our flagship language learning products and web sites found at www.librosmedia.com. Our products are used by thousands of customers in 52 countries, and is one of the leading products in the category.

We are seeking a reliable and skilled complete site developer to take our web sites to the next level. We are looking to develop a long-term relationship with the right candidate. We want someone who can become a permanent part of our International team.

We're in need of Full-time PHP developer who will work remotely from their home with our New Zealand team in a full time contract position. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining new versions of our sites. We will be adding range of web 2.0 features, so you must have the skills and experience to design and develop sophisticated web applications.

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Applications/Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Engineering/ ECE or equivalent or 7+ years of experience;

We require the following skill sets:

  • At least 3-4 years relevant work experience, including work on social networking enabled sites.
  • Highly skilled in PHP development within and without supporting frameworks.
  • Database design and management using MySQL.
  • Strong English communication, technical, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Willing and able to design, implement, test and deploy advanced software development tasks using a LAMP stack.
  • Can start immediately.
  • Must have fast PC and DSL connection at home.
