Play the screencast now

Following on the heels of a great thread, I put together a screencast using the CCK Filefield module as a container for video media files and then applying the jQuery Media module to play back those media files in the appropriate player/method. I've been looking for a replacement for the video.module for some time and I wanted to put this recipe under a microscope. Check it out the screenie, feel free to drop me a line if you loved or hated it.

Vacation + Shared hosting = bad

Yeah, Dug, I just returned from vacation to find my crappy shared hosting company suspended my account. Very sorry about that. It should be back online in a few hours, and I'll be looking for a new host. Any recommendations?

I'm a happy hotdrupal.com camper. Shoutout to Michelle. for initial recommendation. Shell access, fast server, responsive support.

oh no, dozens of queries per second!

Please tell us which host you were using. I'd like to steer people away from them.

I use and recommend Rimuhosting and Slicehost. Slicehost is a little cheaper and has a community IRC channel, but Rimu has the best tech support team I've ever dealt with.

Dozens

Yeah, dozens. FTLOG, it's amazing that A Small Orange's facility didn't burn down.

The Flash Player

Sean, The screencast is fantastic and just what I need, but ... I cannot for the life of me get the player happening. Where is the best place to install the JW Player? And do I need anything other than just putting it in the right place? I'm tearing my hair out (Drupal newbie and not a very proficient coder am I.) Even a clue would be appreciated. Thanks.
