Hi All,

I'm glad to announce the release of our second version of the Drupal-based learning repository at http://www.jem-thematic.net/repository with some nice new features like:

  • DOM import and validation of LOM (learning object metadata) from XML in the IMS LOM v1.2 and IEEE LOM v1.0 formats
  • Full editability and DOM based export of the learning resources in their native LOM XML format
  • Improvements and cleanup on the code structure
  • Preparations for OAI support on the repository; The OAI-PMH data provider module is currently undergoing the test phase and will be released shortly

Please visit the new version of our complete guide for building the Learning repository on Drupal at http://www.jem-thematic.net/node/715 for the updated codes, update guides and a list of the new features. A description along with the code and a screenshot of the LOM Import module is available at http://www.jem-thematic.net/node/935.

This repository has already been discussed earlier at http://groups.drupal.org/node/9926 and I'm looking forward to hearing comments on the new version, please test it out and report any bugs. I would also be happy to hear use cases and experiences over this repository, this would be helpful for us in developing the other future features :)

BR, Antti Alamäki
