It is no secret that Drupalcon in March of 2012 is going to be in Denver! The show will be at the Colorado Convention Center, home of Lawrence Argent's playful "I See What You Mean" other wise known as the Giant Blue Bear in Denver's Downtown core. Follow @drupalcondenver on Twitter if you want the insider scoop like when we're looking for community feedback and and regular Con updates.

We're at the beginning of planning with an amazing organizing committee but that isn't enough. So here's the deal - we need volunteers to help. We're largely looking for local folks but if you have interest and you are outside the state we won't say no!

First off, we have the initial organizing committee. We are meeting once a week by Skype or in IRC. If you are interested in joining the team this early on, we're still looking for a Content Manager, Marketing Manager, and Special Events Czar. This group will be involved right to the end of the conference. Basically the local team works on content, special events, art, local marketing and outreach, volunteer management, housing, support and the list goes on.

The Drupal Association/Drupalcon Inc/Groundswell help in the organization of these events. This means there are a ton of jobs that are less fun taken off our plate. They help with things like live streaming, electrical needs, Attendee Marking (badges, registration etc), Communications Lead, Accounting, and Project Management.

So, for now, the two Matthews - Matt Kleve, and Matthew Saunders - have been tasked with finding YOU to help with the event.

If you want more information about volunteering, you can contact Matthew Saunders or Matt Kleve through our volunteer signup sheet.

Thanks!
Matthew and Matt
