The successful candidate will take the lead in the web applications development, implementation and support for the company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Producing design specifications for projects of various sizes from functional requirements
  • Analyzing code to increase operating efficiency and/or adapts applications to new requirements
  • Preparing software packages for deployment and ensures that they adhere to the appropriate operational policies
  • Providing expertise and mentorship to team members.
  • On call duties are required.

Required qualifications:

  • Drupal
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong experience with web technologies (e.g. J2EE, Spring, XML, SOAP, AJAX, Rails)
  • Expertise in at least one of the following languages: PHP, Perl, Ruby, Java/JSP
  • Experience in SQL and Unix shell scripting
  • Experience in n-tier architecture design and development
  • Operating Systems: any version of UNIX (Linux, Solaris, AIX, FreeBSD, HPUX, etc.)
  • Experience in full software development lifecycle
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

Desired qualifications:
- PostgreSQL
- Photoshop and/or GIMP
