About You:
You are highly organized, have excellent communication skills and are able to work independently in a virtual organization environment.
If you are being considered for this position you definitely have:
Strong experience with Drupal, including: the core API, major contributed modules, and custom module development
Strong experience with PHP, and preferably within a LAMP stack
Strong experience with SQL, relational databases, and in particular, MySQL; you are very comfortable using tools like phpMyAdmin and the mysql CLI
Experience with Javascript; familiarity with some of the major Javascript libraries currently in use.
Experience maintaining and administrating Drupal modules and sites
Solid fundamentals in Unix / Linux administration
Experience evaluating and integrating open source and third party applications into existing systems
The ability to quickly come up to speed on complex existing infrastructures
High speed Internet access at home and a web cam
Ability to work laterally in a group; can easily understand and/or attack a problem from a different team member's role and, when asked, can step outside of a job description to achieve a broader group goal.
You are always eager to learn new things, but never expect to be spoon fed.
Other things that will make you stand out to us, but their absence will not disqualify you:
You have a Bachleors in Computer Science or a related field
Previous or current participation in open source projects
Contributions to the Drupal Community
You have experience using Javascript to implement Ajax solutions in web applications
You can use perl to help streamline or accomplish trivial and/or reoccurring tasks
You have worked with and understand the concepts associated with revision control systems such as CVS and Subversion.
About The Position:
This position is within a team of similar individuals. The majority of the focus is on Drupal programming, both creating new functionality, and taking existing functionality and making it work in new ways. An average of 40 hour work week is required. This position requires high speed Internet access at home and both the ability and availability to attend staff meetings during the day via IM, phone, and web cam. Great email communication skills are a must.
