DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for the technical design and construction of new web portal that will provide visibility and access to all the university’s international activities. Duties include gathering requirements for projects; prototyping website structure and functionality; implementing, testing, deploying, and maintaining the website; and identifying, adding and managing website content. Technically, the individual must be able to quickly synthesize complex design and functionality requirements and execute solutions that account for usability, accessibility, security, and maintainability.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• A four-year college degree or equivalent and three to five years related work experience is required, including production release of public websites
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must.
• Extensive experience in developing with Drupal, including ability to program modules and customizations
• In-depth knowledge of one or more web markup and scripting languages: HTML, XHTML, CSS, Javascript.
• Multimedia experience, particularly with presentation of audio and video on the web.
• Understanding of dynamic or active web content and the use of CGI, Java, XML, and SQL.
• Extensive experience coding web applications in PHP and integrating SQL databases with PHP
• Knowledge of LDAP and email automation
• Ability to meet deadlines and provide quick turnaround on projects when necessary.
• Ability to lead the project team and foster collaboration among all who will be involved with the project on a daily or intermittent basis from all areas of the university, requiring effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of colleagues and users, technical and non-technical
