As a non-profit effort, we are looking for someone that can use their drupal and custom development skills to make a real difference. It has been an exciting effort, and we have made leaps and bounds since the site launch in April. At this early stage, there is very little money to offer up for development. I am ultimately looking for people who want to see this effort succeed and will put in the extra time, but we could discuss possibilities for paid contract work, which if are working out well could evolve to be full-time positions. If you are only in it for the money, it might be a bad match, but if you work hard and care to use your skills for changes, then we greatly look forward to your involvement.

Some of the technical areas where RideBuzz is looking for support
- beautify and simply rideshare system work flow and design
- develop creative applications that improve rideshare usability
- Need help with Geocoding and mapping.
- Setting up complex posting forms, filters, and automatic user notifications.
- Mobile application knowledge and skills needed

RideBuzz Organizational Description

RideBuzz.org is a not for profit community-driven ridesharing program in the Pioneer Valley of Western Mass that is directly benefiting the community and environment. RideBuzz is working to help people share rides; build a stronger community; and drastically reduce fuel consumption while stimulating local economies. This community-enriching organization is increasing access to low-cost and energy efficient transportation options for those in need (i.e. low-income, elderly, disabled, immigrant and unlicensed populations: students too!). This is a unique and innovative program that is endorsed by Co-op Power, CET, Hitchcock Center for the Environment, Highland Valley Elder Services, Riverside Industries, Mayor Higgins (Northampton), ServiceNet, PV Local First, Mass Bike PV, Deans Beans, River Valley Market, Author Richard Heinberg (Peak Oil expert and RideBuzz Board of Advisor), and many more.
