DrupalCape May Meetup

DrupalCape had a fantastic meetup last night. The focus was on getting started with Drupal, and five new folks came along! We had a great presentation, Googling Your Way To Drupal Success, by Inky Serritslev (I will post to Slideshare soon). Roger Saner and Jono Wagener followed up with a demo of IRC, disobey.com, and pastebin.com which was really cool too!! We will be publishing our newsletter during the second week of June with all of the details. Thanks to all who came!!

Design Template

It was a great one. I shall be seeing you guys on irc...

I mentioned there was a design template that can be used for Drupal, which allows designers to understand the standard Drupal elements that need to be considered. For those interested, you can find that here - http://www.chapterthree.com/blog/nica_lorber/design_drupal_template_appr...

Try this one - http://inda.ba/kTIySs. They need to sort out their url linking! Chapter Three have some really interesting design process blogs as well which are useful to read.

Thanks for the link, Guy -

Thanks for the link, Guy - sooooooo helpful! The meetup last night was great - thanks to Inky for the presentation and the pizza. I enjoyed both considerably ;)

Maybe we should add a segment in our meetups: "Drupal for designers" - and have a design section to supplement the geek section. Just a way for us to make drupal more appealing to designers, because goodness knows we need more of them!

DrupalCon sessions

This subject has been presented on at several DrupalCons. I managed to find these 2 session recordings on archive.org.

DrupalCon SF 2010: http://www.archive.org/details/DesignForDrupalATemplateApproach
DrupalCon Copenhagen 2010: http://www.archive.org/details/DesignForDrupalATemplateApproach-CutYourD...

Thanks Inky for the presentation, I definitely learned a couple of things! And thanks everyone else for the input and organizing :)

Useful Theming & Design Links for Drupal

Hi there.

I've also shared my latest blog post, with some links and resources I find really useful for Drupal Theming. Hope it is also useful to you.

Thanks & LESS CSS

Thanks for the great links guys. I'm really forward to joining you for more of these events when I move to the city (from the burbs) in July.

For those who use LESS CSS the LESS CSS Preprocessor is quite useful. Just watch out for some implementation quirks in lessphp. And remember to strongarm the developer mode variable on your production sites. (This module plays nicely with CSS aggregation).

Thanks for all the positive feedback
