Manager of Web Properties | Linux Foundation

I’m a senior technology recruiter looking for a Manager of Web Properties for the Linux Foundation (http://www.linuxfoundation.org).

The Linux Foundation is a highly prestigious nonprofit consortium dedicated to fostering the growth of Linux.

This is a dream job for a Web designer/developer with a passion for Linux, seeking a high-profile opportunity that will make a big impact on the world of Linux users and developers. S/he will also gain exposure to very influential supporters and developers of the Linux platform, including Linux creator Linus Torvalds. Additional perks are exceptional benefits and the freedom/flexibility to work remotely, if desired. The Linux Foundation office is located in San Francisco (Potrero Hill).

This technical, hands-on role will be responsible for managing all of the Linux Foundation’s Web properties. The ideal candidate brings a solid track record for building and delivering attractive and useful Web sites (Drupal experience is essential) and the flexibility to lead both as an individual contributor and manager of external resources. The Linux Foundation is looking for a web designer/developer to manage its web projects. The Linux Foundation gets millions of visitors to our web properties every year and needs a creative, responsible leader to both develop and manage external developers. We want to take the LF web presence to the next level of creativity and collaboration. We're evolving to become more of a media site and need someone who can help us build sites to reach the right audiences and communicate the
right message.

We are dedicated to providing a well architected, accessible and usable web presence to facilitate collaboration for the members of the Linux and open source communities. The ideal person has great technical skills but also is creative and passionate about building attractive and useful web sites. We want this person to take initiative and be creative. Ideally we want someone who is extremely productive but also effective at managing outside resources and
collaborating with content leaders.

This is a high profile, high impact opportunity for someone ready for the challenge. We're looking for someone with over five years experience and a proven portfolio of web sites you've designed and help build.
