Member of a pioneer technology team that seeks to harness web and mobile technology for community development and social change. Freelance positions available, with the potential for conversion to a full-time contract for candidates who are committed to evolving with the organsation.
Company Description:
A newly formed social enterprise seeking to design technology-based services that responds to the needs of community development organisations. Headquartered in Singapore with a regional scope. Provides direct support for the community by designing novel tech-based initiatives in partnership with a Manila-based Foundation that promotes health, livelihood and acceptance across Asia.
Desired Skills & Experience:
All candidates must:
- Be proficient in English; skills in Asian languages are an advantage.
- Be socially and environmentally conscious (a track record in community work is preferred, but not essential).
- Be professional, dynamic and strive for high quality in all things produced.
Programmers
Must have a track record in one or more of the following:
- HTML5
- Facebook Connect & Apps
- Drupal
- Python/Django
- Java Struts
- Ruby on Rails
Designers
Must have a track record in one or more of the following:
- Web and Mobile site and/or app UX design
- Consumer and B2B interfaces
Additional Skills:
- Ability to work across platforms (MAC and PC) an advantage.
- A strong communicator and self-motivated.
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a remote team.
