PHP/Drupal Programmers! Looking for Meaningful Paid Work??

Green Map System is currently building http://OpenGreenMap.org, a sustainability mapping platform using Drupal, Google Map API, local knowledge and our own universal iconography. Already receiving great press and awards, Open Green Map has tremendous potential to help hundreds of communities become greener and healthier!

We're looking for an experienced programmer to join our team ASAP to help build in new features (see In Progress), prepare for the public launch this spring and hopefully, be involved as this project scales up.

Ideally you should already be in the NYC area.

Required:

• Comfortable with PHP
• JavaScript experience
• Basic MySQL

Bonus:

• Experience with Drupal
• Experience with JQuery library
• Good understanding of usability
• Experience with Google Maps API
• Experience with XML/KML/RSS
• Managing high traffic websites
• CSS & HTML

By working with us in our East Village office, you will gain great experience and contribute something very important to a more sustainable future. Working with your flexible schedule is not a problem. Ideally we would like someone full time who can commit at least a few months.
