Hi. I have created a website for a church in the UK using Drupal about 6 months ago, but have just found this group. The website is at www.abovebarchurch.org.uk. We built it using Drupal 4.7. Its a pretty straight forward site, but we hope that it will grow over the next few years to be a really useful resource for helping the church community grow and deepen. Hopefully we can help each other to do this.
Looking forward to speaking to you more in the future!
Chris

path.module
If you enable the path module, then every node will get a "URL path settings" where you can specify an alias to use.
Nice site!
Very nice, simple design (theme). I also like the particular way you unfold the work of the church in the various menus.
We're just starting to build our site using Drupal 4.7, and yours is an inspiration! Way to go.
Nice site
Agreed -- nice site. Interesting splash-page too.
Being such a rookie at this, I hate to ask the following... but I'm hoping one of the kind hearts in here might venture a helpful answer...
"At our CrossroadsConnection.com site, we know how to do all the secured pages just fine... but I don't yet know how to turn off the security to make the main page public. Help."
front.module
If you make the content private, then the front page will be also. Try checking out the Front Page module [1]. It will allow you to have the nodes be private, and allow content for the anonymous user on the . . . front page. :^)

(Site reminds me of Christmas colors)
Nice, clean (although all the links are bold).
Congratulations Chris!
Thanks
I haven't been back to this site since I posted my original comment above, but popping back this morning was well worth it to hear all the nice things about our site. Thanks!
