Newbie - Install error at database stage

Hi there,

So I followed the instructions and created a mysql database with the account information.

When I go to enter my db credentials during the install process, it always remains on the same page where it prompts me for the database information. No errors, nothing ... strange as I've installed Drupal commons on another server and it went smoothly.

What could be wrong? We are only using an ip as a hostname for now.
