Hope Street Association is a non profit, humanitarian services organization, based in Makati. Hope Street operates both HopeNet and the Hope Cybrary (cyber library).

All of our programs are free of charge and designed to be used by children beginning when they are 7 - 12 years old. The Hope Cybraries serve as knowledge, values, life skills and livelihood centers for the Hopefuls. Our HopeNet software is the worlds first: collaborative, immersive, multi purpose, web-based, knowledge platform, for children delivered in 42 languages.

In cooperation with the Department of Education in Makati, Philippines we are setting up Hope Cybraries and trialing our HopeNet software platform in selected Makati elementary schools.

Hope Street is seeking a part time, Senior web-developer who can work both offsite and if possible onsite to help develop the HopeNet platform. HopeNet is based upon the open source Drupal - Php based content management system. Part time - 30 hours a week. Responsibilities:

As Senior Web-Developer you will assist us in the development of web applications for HopeNet Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

Assist in the design and creation of architectures for web application user interfaces.

Develop various web applications and integrate them into our Drupal 6 CMS

Able to assist in the installation of the web applications on both server and client machines (with help of Our Sys Admin).

Requirements:
At least 3 years employment history as Php developer.
Prior to being accepted for the position you must demonstrate that you can build a Drupal module.
Highly skilled in Php based Web Development
Experienced using the Drupal CMS
Highly Knowledgeable in MySQL, jquery, and java-script with a good knowledge of html, and CSS.
Basic knowledge in Flash a plus but not required
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
BS in Computer Science or other computing degree
Applicant must have own PC and development software with high speed Internet connection.
