Job Summary:
Under close supervision of the Architect for Media Technologies at NUIT Academic and Research Technologies¿ (A&RT), the Digital Media Specialist for Web Design & User Interface provides design and development services for e-publishing projects and Web 3.0 projects for Northwestern faculty and departments. A&RT work groups will look to this Specialist for help with user interface developments and for help with web design services for A&RT projects, including public-facing web sites, blogs, collaboration sites, and mobile services. The Specialist will also work on ART teams using Web 3.0 content management systems
Description of Principal Accountabilities
Help develop and help design E-publishing sites, collaborative and social media projects, and mobile applications for NUIT Academic and Research Technologies.
Develop interface and media for custom mobile and E Book presentations.
Provide user/client education and implementing design and custom functionality for Web 3.0 sites and web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JavaScript libraries (e.g. JQuery), PHP, and open source CMS and blog platforms such as DRUPAL and WORDPRESS.
