Lucks Digital, located in the heart of the Rockies near Aspen, CO is seeking to add a full-time Drupal developer to our team. We are looking for an individual with proven experience in web development and an obvious passion for their work. Our ideal candidate will grow into a leadership role on our development team and take ownership of a mix of customer projects and internal applications and services.
At Lucks Digital we build and maintain Drupal websites, custom modules, and integrated systems solutions for customers in a variety of industries. We focus largely on custom code development and site building and maintenance and do not currently provide design, SEO, or other marketing services. As a result much of our work is in custom module development and Drupal site builds, migrations, integrations, and other customization. We also maintain hosted services for customers in the vacation rental industry and implement and maintain web service integrations with 3rd-party property management software providers.
As a member of our development team you will participate in the development, deployment and support of our custom solutions and hosted services.
Responsibilities:
-Participate in the front-to-back build and customization of Drupal websites.
-Write and maintain custom code modules with proper revision and version management.
-Provide development task specifications and time estimates based on functional requirements documents and design mockups.
-Participate in the architecture and implementation of custom Drupal modules and integrated solutions.
-Maintain software roadmap, versioning, and release schedule for hosted solutions.
-Actively seek professional development and growth of personal and team skills.
-Maintain your personal knowledge of Drupal, PHP, and other core and emerging web technologies.
-Provide training and/or courseware recommendations for team members' growth.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in CS or similar field.
-5+ years full-time web development experience and/or excellent university transcript.
-3+ years full-time experience using PHP/MySQL.
-2+ years full-time experience using Drupal.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Acute attention to detail. Pixels matter.
-Experience working in a team environment.
-Experience working with project management and code management software.
-Ability to design and implement proper code security, revision management, and deployment procedures.
-Proven passion for solving problems in HTML, CSS, JS, JSON, PHP, SQL, XML, XPATH, SOAP, etc...
-Proven ability to build complex Drupal sites from front-to-back, using all of the above acronyms.
-Comfort and efficiency on the linux command line.
-Strong understanding of programming concepts and common constructs, including object-oriented programming in PHP.
-Desire for growth as an individual, a professional, and as a member of a skilled and effective development team.
Beneficial Skills and Experience:
-Experience with mobile websites, mobile apps, and social media APIs.
-Experience in the online travel software industry.
-Experience implementing SOAP/REST/XML-RPC web services in PHP.
-Experience with XML/XPATH.
-Experience optimizing the Drupal/LAMP stack.
