The Web Developer/Designer will work on medium to large scale web projects with universities and colleges in Canada and the USA. The candidate should have a strong background in web site design and development.
The candidate should have good communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with our customers when required.. The candidate must also be able to work efficiently in both independent
and collaborative situations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Information architecture and user interface design for medium to large institutional sites
- Web site and applications development – preferably in a Drupal environment
- Site maintenance and support to existing web sites.
Required Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of website development and design experience
- Advanced knowledge of HTML, DHTML, XHTML, HTML5
- Advanced knowledge of CSS
- Knowledge of JavaScript/JQuery/AJAX/Video
- Advanced knowledge of digital imaging using Adobe Photoshop
- Experience with Drupal
- Experience with PHP and LAMP-based systems
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues
- Mobile/iPad development would also be useful.
