GrowNYC is a 40-year old environmental non-profit in New York City. We are best known for running the Greenmarket program (including the Union Square Greenmarket), and also run community garden, recycling, and environmental education programs.
GrowNYC is seeking a consultant to rebuild our website in Drupal 7. Our website, www.grownyc.org, was built in 2008 in Drupal 5, and since then we've made semi-major changes to the site in spite of our deprecated Drupal install. A detailed RFP document is attached or is available at http://www.grownyc.org/files/web_rfp/grownyc_website_rfp.pdf. Submission guidelines are below, but we're not seeking a complicated RFP reply.
Specifically, we're seeking:
A clean Drupal 7 install; all of our current modules upgraded, configured, and reinstalled; our page templates remade; help configuring several new modules and the related Blocks (Calendar, the blocks that feed the News and Blog sections of our front page). More details list of modules / features in the attached document. And to make the most of our budget, we’d like to do the content migration ourselves. (This means that we’d like to recreate all of our pages ourselves - we’ve got a few people on staff that can handle this, and we’ll most likely be making seasonal tweaks to the content as we go along.)
Budget and Timeline
A maximum of $3,000. Deadline for proposals is January 31, 2012. We’d like to choose a consultant by February 15, 2012, and start the project by March 1, 2012.

- A brief evaluation of our project summary and plan. Does our plan make sense?
- A brief summary of your history with websites and Drupal, including one or two relevant projects - have you upgraded or remade someone’s website in Drupal 7 before?
- Links to specific Drupal projects you’ve been involved with.
