Drupal 6.x Training Starting in 1 week
As I mentioned earlier I will be offering classes starting this weekend - September 27th.
The sessions are 3 hours each split over 4 Saturdays and you can pick and choose which you want to attend. My hope is that during the week attendees can explore on their own and that over the course of a month you will go /from newbie to rockstar/.
When and What?
- Sep. 27th: "Introduction to Drupal" - (hint: It's not pronounced droo-PAWL)
Local Boulder Developer with a Couple Drupal Questions
Hi all, I'm a boulder internet marketing guy, building a Drupal site for a company, and have a couple questions. I thought I'd post here, rather than the general areas, in order to meet local developers and connect with the talent that lives in my home town. I'm sure this will not be my last Drupal implementation, and I'm always looking for collaborative developers on projects.
Here are the questions, if anyone has any insights:
#drupal-colorado
This is an announcement for the offical #drupal-colorado freenode irc channel. If you have an interest in interacting with Colorado Drupalers this is a great location for it. See you there!
July Denver DBUG Meetup Canceled, Register for DrupalCamp, Propose a Session for DrupalCamp, Vote on Sessions for DrupalCamp
Hello Folks,
As you suffer in the heat today be sure to take a few minutes to make sure that you're all set to enjoy the DrupalCamp coming up July 26th and 27th.
- The Denver edition of our User Group meetings is cancelled since we have our DrupalCamp during basically the same time frame. A meeting on Tuesday and then again the following weekend.
Drupal Camp Colorado Open to Remote Presenters
Because Drupal Camp Colorado is being held in the Micro Business Development Center that is home to Deproductions/Denver Open Media, we have access to equipment and bandwidth that wouldn't be available at many other Drupal Camp locations. This allows us to offer a remote presenter track at Drupal Camp Colorado.
Video Modules?
I was hoping for some genius from the Denver-Boulder Area Community which modules everyone prefers for video (flv) hosted locally.
the "local" part screws up using emfield.module for me.
I'm looking at FlashVideo.module
video.module shows it shouldn't be used in a production environment.
Ideas?
Thanks.
Drupal Camp Colorado Logo Voting
The submission period for logos has ended and voting has begun. Make sure to cast your vote for the logo you'd like to see used for the event at http://drupalcampcolorado.org/ ... We are running a little behind schedule so will leave voting open until end of business on Friday June 13th. Many thanks to the artists that submitted entries and good luck!
Amazon Web Services Discussion in Boulder
Per coloradostartups.com an Amazon Web Services evangelist will be in Colorado this coming week to give a talk and evangelize.
From the post:
Mike will be in town visiting TechStars on Tuesday, June 3rd. While he’s here, and since he’s such a nice guy, he’s also holding a get-together at The Cup in Boulder for anyone interested in Amazon Web Services. This will be at 10am on Tuesday. This is the guy to talk to if you want to learn more
Open Call for Logos
We are planning an upcoming DBUG Camp (Denver/Boulder) for this summer. We seem to have the technical ability to pull it off but need some help getting a suitable logo in place. In order to do this we are running a logo design contest until June 1, 2008. The winner will have their logo used on promotional materials for the event.
Deadline
Submit all entries by June 01, 2008. Voting will commence on June 02 and will run for one week.
Technical details
Possible DBUG Camp
We had an amazing time in Boston at the Drupalcon. Almost unanimously, we have identified that there was a significant lack of technical sessions that were of sufficient quality to make us feel like we were really learning something. The BoF sessions were phenomenal and there was a good deal of quality material at the Drupalcon including a decent turn out of many of the DBUG members I see regularly. I'm not saying the sessions at Drupalcon completely lacked value, just that they were not geared completely towards experienced Drupal Developers.
