As an advocate of open source technologies and a big fan of Drupal, I wanted to make sure that local shops in the Washington DC metropolitan area had the opportunity to submit proposals. It should be noted that other platforms besides Drupal are being considered so a brief explanation of the benefits of the platform should be included in your proposal. I am not involved in the vendor vetting or award selection of this particular initiative so please DO NOT contact me with questions and inquiries.

NB: This opportunity involves the ground-up design, development, and implementation of a system.

RFP - Seeking Experienced Drupal-Services Shop

The Project Management Institute, Washington DC Chapter (PMIWDC) is seeking an experienced full-service Drupal software development and theme shop to develop (a brand new) Volunteer Management System (VMS).

The proposed Volunteer Management System should:

  • Provide online, automated volunteer registration, selection and tracking of volunteer opportunities.

  • Provide PMIWDC board members and support staff an automated workflow management and administrative capabilities.

    • The PMIWDC Volunteer Coordination Team and Technology Team have created a Request for Proposal (RFP) document and a VMS requirements document, and are currently seeking interested software development vendors.
