As a Drupal Developer, you will be part of a team responsible for building best-in-class websites and applications for 38 Studios’ fantasy-based IP products. This will be a diverse and demanding role. A successful candidate will have substantial Drupal development experience, a proven track record in creating top-notch interactive experiences. A firm understanding of MMOs and the websites and applications that support them is a big plus.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with a team of engineers, developers and designers on all aspects of the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, functional specifications, design, development, QA, roll-out, and maintenance.
• Design and code consumer-facing web pages and applications using wireframes, creative mock-ups, functional and design specifications, and established processes.
• Take ownership of code and feature development. Don’t just make it good, make it better.
• Interact closely with server-side engineering, design, and UX teams.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest relevant technologies and implement web development best practices.
Knowledge, Skills & Ability Requirements
Knowledge
• 1-2+ years of Drupal development experience, with expertise in theming and interface customization.
• Knowledge and understanding of Drupal best practices.
• Proficiency with HTML, Javascript, JQuery, CSS, and AJAX.
• Ability to develop in PHP and MySQL.
• Awareness of the interplay between JavaScript, HTML and CSS, and can dynamically create, modify, and style elements on a page with ease.
• Experience integrating third-party Javascript libraries into existing systems.
• Able to integrate clean, lean, well-commented front-end work with various server side publishing technologies and content management systems.
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills.
• Understanding of all major browsers, platforms and devices, and the special considerations for their various quirks.
• Familiarity with major third-party APIs (Facebook, Twitter, Google Maps, YouTube, etc.) is a strong plus.
• Experience with Flash is a strong plus.
• Solid understanding of MMO game sites, digital storefronts, and account management and billing system features is a plus.
• Knowledge of social networking tools and sites is required.
• Experience with the scrum development process is desired.
• Knowledge of source control software such as Perforce or SVN is desired.

• 2-4+ years web development experience creating high-volume, dynamic, and scalable web sites as well as social and mobile applications.
• Experience launching large-scale websites.
