Our client in The Woodlands, TX (Near Houston) is seeking a Sr Level Developer who will lead a team of developers to build, implement and support customer facing applications. This resource will report to the Senior Manager and will work with business to scope out work for each release and with Architect to design complex solutions.
Responsibilities
• Implements, maintains, troubleshoots and resolves problems relating to corporate content, community and transactional sites
• Participates in technology planning and development cycles
• Leads a team of mid and/or junior level developers
• Achieves a high level of customer service and communication with clients
• Works with other IT staff to deploy company strategies in the field and resolve problems
• Gains a working knowledge of the company's business drivers and determines opportunities/benefits for improvement of business performance by using information technologies
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related discipline
• 5+ years combined experience with doing enterprise level development using PHP and CMS frameworks including Drupal, Joomla or Plone
Specialized Qualifications
• Experience with JavaScript, CSS and JQuery.
• Enterprise level Java development experience preferred.
• Familiarity with version control and version management, preferable Subversion.
• Familiarity with both Windows and Linux/Unix environment
