Baltimore magazine is looking for a new Online Director to manage our online properties, which include two websites built with Drupal.

Description:

  • Act as a visionary, searching for new ways to use the web to carry out mission of organization
  • Develop, recommend, and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to manage/improve the content
  • Works with multiple data streams to define company performance and identify new opportunities for driving traffic and revenue especially with digital products.
  • Views all company initiatives through the lens of identifying key metrics, tracking them, reporting success, and recommending next steps.
  • Provides all back end coding.
  • Post and maintain content on the web.
  • Manage hosting plan which includes keeping track of performance and settings, and troubleshooting any errors.
  • Identifies important trends and provides analysis. Works with the Marketing Department to create effective ways to promote the website among the intended audiences.
  • Track and report on all site metrics to management.
  • Acts as Sales support in guiding the selling of advertising across all digital products.
  • Creates multimedia, including photo galleries, slide shows, and videos.

Key Projects: Web infrastructure and design, web content, traffic drivers, analytics, email program, web design

Requirements:

  • 4 year College degree required
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript and MySQL
  • Knowledge of Adobe products, primarily Photoshop and InDesign
  • Knowledge of Drupal and Web Content Management Systems
  • Knowledge of server administration, including SSH and Linux command line a plus
