Get ready for fun at February's meetup! Melissa Anderson (@eliza411) is going to walk us through some awesome Workflow training in Drupal. This is a very hands-on exercise, so bring your laptops and get ready for between 1 - 1.5 hours of training on the workbench_moderation module. From Melissa:
By default, Drupal's core workflow is a simple published/unpublished setting. For Februrary we'll use an OpenSourcery Test Kitchen recipe to allow editorial moderation. Using workbench_moderation, we'll allow site contributors to create content, save it in a draft state, and pass it on to site editors when it is ready for review. Once an editor has published the content, it will stay live and the contributor and editor can collaborate behind the scenes until the new revision is ready to be published.
Sign up, and we'll provide a pre-configured Drupal sandbox that you can use to build this recipe during the meetup. If you're an experienced Drupaler, you can volunteer to lend others a hand. And of course, you can just sit back and watch.
Looks like fun! Come prepared to learn and/or help on February 8th at 6pm at OpenSourcery.
For March, we're going to have another hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves session as Ryan Aslett guides us all to hit a remote desktop environment configured with the right tools to let us step through the Drupal 7 bootstrap.
