Drupal Developers | Appnovation Technologies

Appnovation is actively looking for Drupal Developers to work remotely in the Atlanta area and report into the Vancouver office. The Drupal Developer must possess the technical knowledge required but also be prepared to work in a fast paced, young, fun and energetic environment.

POSITION OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Practice Manager, The Drupal Developer is responsible for architecting, implementing and maintaining our applications, participating in all phases of the development lifecycle. The Developer will be able to work with a project from beginning to end from a remote location.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop custom websites using Drupal, PHP, HTML and other languages
• Interprets customer/internal requirements to establish complete and accurate func-tional specifications and product documentation
• Effectively develops software to achieve the specified functionality
• Properly documents software and controls the revision status of design documentation
• Maintain client websites and troubleshoot problems as they arise
• Performs other work as assigned by the Technical Lead

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• 7-10+ years of web development experience, with project leadership experience
• 3-4 years of Drupal CMS development experience
• Experience with development using Alfresco
• Experience with Linux/Open Source software
• Knowledge of Javascript, JQuery, AJAX, MySQL, (LAMPS) required
• Knowledge of Servers and Configuration
• Experience preparing UML technical system documentation
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in computer science, engineering, or related field an asset

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Complete understanding of the project lifecycle
• Excellent knowledge in Drupal, creating custom modules and hooks
• A willingness to work in a fast-paced environment outside of normal working hours where required
• Extreme attention to detail and consistency to minimize errors
• Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
• Professional, reliable, and possessing a strong work ethic
• Excellent verbal, written, inter-personal communication skills
• A positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:
• Experience working with Content Management Systems and/or other web frameworks
• Knowledge of Sproutcore, Magento and Ubercart
• Mobile development experience
