Drupal / PHP Developer - Surrey / London - to £45k

Essential
* Graduate in IT or other computing related qualification.
* Ideally 2 years web application support

Industry Experience of:
* PHP (ideally 3+ years)
* Drupal development (ideally 1+ years)
* MySQL(ideally 2+ years)
* Strong SQL Skills
* Experience developing / supporting web applications
* HTML, CSS, Javascript

Desirable

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Reporting to the Support Manager and working alongside one or more other developers on support and development projects

The main purpose of the job is to support maintain existing Drupal/PHP based systems and applications. This includes bug fixing, code enhancing, small change requests and any other support tasks that the business requires.

A secondary purpose is to develop and enhance new and existing Drupal/PHP based systems and applications as directed by the business adhering to the standards and procedures of the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carry out analysis necessary for development, maintenance and support tasks on new and existing systems as requested resulting in the production of documentation detailing technical work required for requested development, maintenance and support tasks to company standards

Implement fixes, changes, data extracts, and other requests necessary to provide the required level of support for the existing systems.

Undertake unit and system testing against test scripts to demonstrate that new code or amendments meet the specified requirements. Produce testing notes to agreed company standards

Produce and maintain documentation describing the system such that the documentation reflects functionality within the system.

To keep up to date with the languages and technologies required to perform well in the job – currently to include Drupal CMS, PHP, HTML, Javascript, CSS, MySQL and Linux.
