As the economic downturn becomes more pronounced and people begin to realize that government alone cannot help solve the problem, there is a growing awareness of the need for community and connection. We are developing a plug-in portal for individuals, groups, and organizations that want to create a better world through direct help to one another. It is an online city-specific community that is part social network and part CMS that connects those that need help with those that want to help.

I am social entrepreneur with successful startup experience. This is early stage development and I am looking for a chief technology officer and engineer with experience in weaving together open source applications in new and creative ways.  A LAMP/Drupal development firm could also be a good fit. I am looking for a great partner who is creative, loves work (and play), has integrity, and is driven by doing good.

This is a non-funded startup, and the pay will be in founder level shares for the company.

. Strong LAMP /RoR/ Drupal /MySQL and similar Experience 
. Detail Oriented 
. Strong Developer experience 
. Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle, including agile methods, and iterative builds
