We have an immediate opening for a Senior Drupal / PHP Developer, currently residing in the Washington DC area. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Blacksnow Systems won’t hire just anybody, though. We are looking for brilliant, hard-working, hackers with a passion for making real, meaningful, positive change in this world through elegant software.
Who you are:
You enjoy and excel in programming.
You have a Subversion or Github account and your own Drupal projects (and you're ready to show then off).
You believe in Agile and Lean development methods (and know not to over-engineer).
You love the web, and you’re interested in everything from CSS to databases.
You are flexible, and comfortable "wearing more than one hat"
You want to be part of a fast-growing company with a goal to help change the world for the better through software.
You'll fit in with our team as an honest, responsible, and humble person with a sense of humor.
You're authorized to work in the United States, and you can physically work in our Arlington, VA office.
You are very smart, but acknowledge you don’t know everything and have a hunger to learn more about coding, software, and technology.
You lead by example and you enjoy mentoring younger or less experienced members of your team.
You are detail oriented and take pride in doing great work
Job Qualifications:
- 4+ years of PHP Object Oriented programming experience.
- 2-3 years experience developing with Drupal.
- 4 years of MySQL experience.
- 2-3 years front end development experience using HTML, AJAX and/or CSS.
- Must place in a high percentile on an IQ / Logic test, which will be administered as part of application process
