DATC.edu Relaunch on Drupal 6

amariotti's picture

Just wanted to let you guys know I just relaunched our DATC.edu site on Drupal 6. It was a heck of a project that I've been working on over the last few weeks and months. I finally set a schedule to get it done (3.5 Days) and I did it!

Go check it out! Any feedback is welcome!

I'll have a write-up on my work blog and personal blog when I get a chance tomorrow.

I used Rotor Banner. It's 100 times better than our last one. Anyone can manage it. :)

Nice, looks like a cool Module/Component/Plugin (what's the correct term) my only suggestion is to add arrows to the rotating banner so people can scroll faster through the content, don't know if that option is available for that plugin.

Out of the box I don't think

Out of the box I don't think it has the option of adding arrows. It does have the option of adding tabs above or below the slideshow for quicker jumping around the slideshow. At first I wasn't sure if I'd have extra room, but I think I will with this new design. I'll test it out tomorrow and see how I like it. I've got lots more work to do on the home page tomorrow. We'll see.

Meh! :)

I turned the feature on and haven't done anything with them yet. I've been too overloaded with getting everything else up to par with our 5.x site. Hopefully I can do a presentation at one of our upcoming meet-ups about upgrading—it's kind a pain. Anyway, I learned a lot from my experiences and hopefully I can share those.

At some point next week I'll work more on the Home Page and make it look as good as the rest of the theme does. :)
